You've all seen it, sometimes it is the cutest thing ever but then sometimes it can hurt a little too when they fall. I'm talking about a baby learning how to walk.
Just last night we had dinner with some of our good friends from church and they have an adorable little boy who is learning to walk. So as Jenn and I sat there talking to Starr and Jason we were always aware of this little guy going around the room at a crawl, and then sometimes he would pull himself up on the couch. He would take a few steps and then fall as soon as he got to the end. When August was taking those few wobbly steps it was so cute and you just couldn't help but smile and cheer him on, then he would loss his grip on the couch and go straight to the floor and your heart would hurt just a little bit for him.
Well this is about the way Jenn and I are right now as we begin to raise our support. It feels like we are starting out at a crawl just so we can get some forward momentum. But this is where we all start out and then comes the walking and jogging and finally the running. We have been so blessed to have people come along side of us that have been here before and can give us some wisdom and encouragement as we are learning to "walk" in this calling to support raising. These are the people who have seen us maybe struggling in one or more areas of the support raising and been there to help us up when we fall. Honestly I can't wait until we have the walking thing down good enough to start jogging and eventually start sprinting toward the finish line that allows us to get to Indonesia.
