I'm a Slacker!

Sorry it has been a month since I have updated our blog.  So much has happened since my last post of eating the ants and I have wanted so badly to share these experiences with you.  This month has consisted largely of team retreats with our organization and us transitioning out of the dorm and into the kampung (neighborhood).  Much of this time we have had very limited access to the internet or no access to the internet which makes blogging difficult to do.  

So for now I just want to let you know that we are doing just fine and are excited about this next step in our time in Indonesia.  We do miss the dorm life, but our new house is turning out to be even better and more cozy than either of us could have imagined.  Well except for the scorpion we found in our kitchen but that is another post for another day! 

We hope to have the internet in our house connected by the beginning of next week so our calendar is open for skype dates if anyone would like to make a reservation.  This also means that hopefully you can come back here and find regular updates again on how we are doing and the new experiences we are having.  Experiences like when I went to the atm and the bank workers were there filling the machine with money and had ridden there on a scooter and had the money in plastic containers! Nope...  not a guard in sight until there were at least 10 people standing around the atm.  Then the guard shows up in a car with a fully automatic machine gun slung across his shoulder.  Don't see that in the States much!
